Kurran Bishop
President of ARISE Camps, Kurran is an Elder and Director of Operations at SPAN Ministries. He is a Kent State University graduate with a Masters Degree in Architecture where he also ran Track. Elder Kurran is responsible for making sure everything runs smoothly & forming relationships with the parents and kids.
Kelyn Robinson
Vice President of ARISE Camps, Kelyn is part of the leadership team at SPAN Ministries. She earned an Master of Business Administration at Kent State University. Kelyn works to build relationships with businesses and organizations in the community throughout the year to help make ARISE Camps successful each summer. She also helps oversee the operations of Camp.
Keyana Artis
Director of Cheerleading Camp, is a Kent State University student. She helps lead the ARISE Youth Ministry at SPAN Ministries and is director of Glitzy Girlz an organization that teaches girls to be classy and respectful young ladies with high self-esteem and confidence.
Kenan Bishop
ARISE Mentoring Director, Kenan is an Elder at SPAN Ministries and is a seasoned educational professional who has served the families in Northeastern Ohio as a school teacher, Assistant Administrator, Elementary School Principal, and Curriculum Coordinator. He is now Executive Director of ICANN Schools in Akron, Canton and Cleveland.
Jason Wagner
Director of Finance. Jason is a Financial officer at SPAN Ministries and Manager at Third Federal Bank. He is responsible for finding innovative new ways to raise funds for the camp so that we can offer scholarships to as many children as possible.
Dan Markiewicz
Director of Operations, A Kent State University graduate where he received a Bachelor of Architecture degree. Dan works behind the scenes of the camp making sure that all supplies and equipment are in order.
Antjuan Brooks
Lead Football Camp Coach, Antjuan is a Deacon at SPAN Ministries and Sales Executive at YP Marketing Solutions. Deacon Antjuan played professional football after completing his time as a member of the Akron Zips football team and he brings a coaches perspective to steering children toward hard work and success.
Chris Wiggins
Director of Personell, Chris is a Deacon at SPAN Ministries who graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where he was a 4 year letterman in football. After Graduation he answered the call to impact the lives of children as a professional educator and currently is an administrator at Warrensville Schools.
Alisha Sturkie
Assistant Lead Football Camp Coach, Alisha leads fitness classes at SPAN Ministries and is a Kent State University graduate where she earned a bachelors degree in Finance. She currently runs her own physical training business, Unmessable With LLC. At camp she helps make sure coaches have their assignments each day and makes sure that the children are properly warmed up before taking part in physical activities.
